British values are shared civic principles that shape public life in the United Kingdom in education, community life and democratic/political participation. The main reason for British values is to emphasize how people can live together equally and respectfully in a diverse society. British values represent how people should treat eachother and principles of maintaining and having a good and fair society. British values also apply to everyday life and contribute to our society greatly. They are what shapes the British community into who they are.
